The position

As Manager TEC, you are responsible for the department whose goal is to support our customers, service and sales departments with technical knowledge and experience. This ranges from advice and training on how to apply our products (pre-sales) to support after installation (after-sales), when the customer can no longer manage on their own. You do this with:

• Technical Advisors who help customers on site.
• The Technical Helpdesk for pre- and after-sales support.
• The Water Quality Laboratory for analysing system water.
• Sharing knowledge by providing product application trainings and developing training materials.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Manage and further develop the Technical Expertise Centre department to support customers, sales and service in applying our products and solving problems in use.
• Managing the Technical Advisors (NL, DE, UK and CN), Application Engineer, Technical Advisor Representative and Knowledge Manager;
• Evaluate and optimize work processes internal the department and cross departments;
• Responsible for TEC KPI’s and progress reporting;
• Continues improvement of the customer experience at providing customer support;
• Participate in and contribute to product development through project teams.

Your profile

• Academic working and thinking level, direction Chemical Technology or Applied Sciences;
• In-depth knowledge of chemical engineering (process, physical, material and analytical chemistry), corrosion management and water treatment;
• Very good knowledge of and experience with product development and experiment design;
• Good knowledge of hydronic systems;
• Extensive experience with (Project) management processes;
• Good command of the Dutch and English language, the German language is an advantage;
• Management experience.
